Location & Directions
Essex Middle River Veterinary Clinic is conveniently located just two minutes from the Beltway. We attract clients from all over: Towson, White Marsh, Honeygo, Baltimore City, and even parts of Pennsylvania and Virginia. Once here, you’ll find convenient parking in the front, and welcome yourself into the wheelchair entrance to meet our friendly team.

Our Facility
We take pride in our facility: Our walls are freshly painted, our lighting is cheerful, and every surface is tidy and clean. You are welcome to relax under the tall, wood-paneled ceilings in our waiting room and refresh yourself with some water. Enjoy plenty of art, learn more about pet care, and view our welcome board for all the pets visiting that day! And, because we care about our four-legged guests’ comfort, we recently installed soft, textured floors throughout our facility. Feel free to come by for a tour!
We have multiple examination rooms, so your pet won’t wait long for its appointment. And, as a full service clinic, we own the latest state of the art equipment for performing diagnostics, medicine, and surgery. We even take nail trims seriously—our doggie lift helps alleviate stress so your pet can literally hang out while getting pampered. Plus, we aren’t shy with treats. Our goal is to make every animal’s visit as pleasant as possible.
What to Expect
Essex Middle River Veterinary Center is different from other animal hospitals. With five full-time doctors and a huge staff of technicians, assistants, and support staff, we combine courtesy and expertise like no other practice.
You’ll be greeted by our client service representatives the moment you walk in the door. They will take down your pet’s information, and welcome you to relax in our spacious, clean reception area while your pet’s exam room is being prepared. Help yourself to complimentary beverages, including coffee and tea. Soon, a veterinary technician will appear and escort you to the exam room. While checking your pet’s physical condition, the technician will talk with you about any recent health or behavior issues you may have noticed. The veterinarian will arrive shortly, and proceed with the physical.
If your pet is visiting us for something more serious than a checkup, the doctor or technician will take it from the exam room into our treatment center. This is our hub, filled with other doctors and staff. This means your pet is often examined by more than one doctor, and they will ensure it receives the most current, safe and cost-effective treatment. In addition to all the professional attention, your pet will be showered with compassion — every member of our team loves animals. EMRVC offers you the benefit of a greater knowledge from a bigger team, equating to better care, better medicine and better surgery.
