Thank you for choosing EMRVC for your pet's care. To help us provide timely appointments and care for all patients, including those with urgent medical needs, we ask that you review our appointment policy below.
Appointment Cancellations & Rescheduling
We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. TPLO & Specialty Surgery requires 72 hours’ notice.
If an appointment is not confirmed, canceled, or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice, it will be released to another patient in need of care.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call our office as soon as possible to avoid missed appointment fees.
Missed Appointment Fees
Missed appointments and cancellations made without the required notice are subject to the following fees:
Exams
- A $50 missed appointment fee will be charged per pet if missed or canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
- A deposit of $86 per pet will be required when scheduling your next appointment.
Routine Surgery
- Your $150 surgical deposit will be forfeited and will not be applied toward your procedure if the appointment is missed or canceled with less than 24 hours' notice.
- A new $150 deposit is required to reschedule.
TPLO & Specialty Surgery
- A minimum of 72 hours' notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling.
- Your $350 surgical deposit will be forfeited and will not be applied toward your procedure if the appointment is missed or canceled with less than 72 hours' notice.
- A new $350 deposit is required to reschedule.
All missed appointment fees must be paid in full before future appointments can be scheduled.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to work your pet into the schedule later in the day or reschedule your appointment. If you know you will be late, please call us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Appointment Reminders
As a courtesy, we send appointment reminders approximately 48 hours in advance by email, text message, and/or phone. Please keep your contact information up-to-date and respond promptly to confirm your appointment.
